Article reports that Yulia Tymoshenko, the underdog in Ukraine’s second round of the 2010 presidential election, appealed on the 3 February 2010 for international support to block last-minute electoral law changes that she says pave the way for vote-rigging by Victor Yanukovich, her opponent.

However, on the 4 February 2010 Ukraine’s president Viktor Yushchenko, signed into law the controversial changes to election rules.
