Article reports that Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President, was at the centre of a political storm January 2010 after health authorities admitted they had a huge oversupply of vaccines for the H1N1 swine flu virus and were trying to sell them on to other countries.

France and the Netherlands have both joined countries including Germany, Spain and the UK in trying to reduce large orders for vaccines to which they committed in expectation of a pandemic.
