Scottish farmers were reassured, in late December 2009, that there was no need for immediate action on new sheep tagging rules. Although the European regulations on Electronic Identification (EID) came into force on 1 January 2010, they apply to lambs born after 31 December and even then only when they reach 9 months old or leave the farm of birth. |
