This consultation seeks views on the proposed approach for transposing into English legislation the provisions of the Council Directive on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe (2008/50/EC). The Directive came into force on 11 June 2008 and must be transposed by EU Member States into national legislation by 10 June 2010.
