EC pharmaceutical proposals putting patients at risk, warns CoR rapporteur

Proposals for updating the rules governing the authorisation and safety of medicines, tackling counterfeit drugs and improving information to patients are biased in favour of pharmaceutical companies and would put consumers at risk, according to Susanna Haby (SE/EPP), member of the executive committee of the city of Gothenburg and Committee of the Regions (CoR) rapporteur on the so-called 'pharmaceutical package'.
