Italian-Polish EPP row over Parliament presidency nomination

EurActiv reports that the Prime Ministers of Italy and Poland have failed June 2009 to agree on the name of the Conservative candidate for the Presidency of the European Parliament. If a compromise cannot be found, the issue is likely to be put to a vote.
