The Expert Panel on Food Contact Materials (the CEF Panel) of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), on 11 June 2009, published an Opinion on the health risks associated with the consumption of breakfast cereals contaminated with
4-methylbenzophenone. Benzophenone and 4-methylbenzophenone are chemicals used in printing inks for food packaging.
