Financial regulation plan faces UK obstacles

Preview of a Communication on financial supervision to be issued by the European Commission on the 27 May 2009. Article suggests that this shows that the Commission is determined to push ahead with the two-tiered approach suggested earlier in 2009 by Jacques de Larosiere, the former French central banker (see ESO: Background information: Related urls) as they try to safeguard against future financial crises.
