Press Release: Declaration by the Presidency on behalf of the European Union on political violence in Yemen

The European Union reaffirms its support for a unified, stable and democratic Yemen and, in this context, is very concerned about reports of recent incidents of political violence in the South and elsewhere in Yemen, which have already caused a number of casualties. The European Union calls upon all sides to exercise restraint and refrain from acts of violence, which will serve only to exacerbate the tension and compound regional problems.
