Speaking at an international seminar in the Czech Senate, the Director of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), Zsuzsanna Jakab, highlighted the importance of vaccines as one of the most important and effective tools for the prevention of infectious diseases in the EU but cautioned that more work is needed to counter negative perceptions on vaccines.
