Germans put faith in ‘mother’ Merkel

Article reports that opinion polls released in January 2009 show Germans still trust their 'Mutti'(mother) to steer their country through its biggest economic storm since the end of the second world war. This may help Mrs Merkel and her CDU party in the forthcoming general election.
