Press Release: Solidarity Fund: The EU grants aid of €13 million to Martinique and Guadeloupe in the aftermath of Hurricane Dean

Danuta Hübner, EU Commissioner for Regional Policy, and Yves Jégo, the French Minister for Overseas Territories, signed yesterday an implementing agreement confirming the granting of almost €13 million in aid to Martinique and Guadeloupe, following the damage caused by Hurricane Dean in August 2007. This aid for these two islands of the French Antilles will come from the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF).
