Memo: Energy Council 8 December 2008

The last energy council of 2008 will take place in Brussels on 8th December. The agenda has a number of issues on the ongoing legislative text under approval process (Renewable Directive, SET Plan, Eco-design directive) and new proposals on the way (Second Strategic Energy Review). The Commission will inform Member States of recent developments in the international energy policy, like Commissioner Piebalgs' visit to the countries of the Southern Corridor.
