Press Release:State aid: Commission authorises PLN 24 million (€ 6.2 million) aid to Polish foundry Odlewnia Żeliwa ‘Śrem’

The European Commission approved under EC Treaty state aid rules restructuring aid in favour of the cast iron producer Odlewnia Żeliwa 'Śrem' (OZS). After an in-depth investigation, the Commission found that the restructuring measures were adequate to restore the company's viability, that the aid was limited to the minimum necessary and did not create undue distortions of competition. The Commission therefore concluded that the aid was in line with the EU rules on restructuring of companies in difficulties.
