This consultation, issued by the UK Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform on 17 October 2008, sought views on the European Commission Proposal for a European Council Regulation on the Statute for a European private company. The aim of the consultation was to seek views on the detail of the Proposal to ensure that any new legal form would offer benefits to UK businesses without adding additional burdens or uncertainties. Deadline for responses: 21 November 2008.
