Consultation on EU proposals for a revision to Regulation 717/2007 on roaming on public telephone networks

The European Commission, in May 2008, issued a proposal to extend the duration and scope of the EU regulation covering high roaming charges for voice calls in Europe to cover SMS and data roaming. This consultation, issued by the UK Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform on 30 October 2008, sought the views of stakeholders against a background of an ambitious timetable to bring the revised Regulation into force by June 2009. Deadline for responses: 20 November 2008.
