Role of Houses of the Oireachtas in EU Affairs: Discussion. Transposition of EU Law: Discussion

The Irish Minister for European Affairs, Dick Roche, and the Secretary General of European Commission, Catherine Day, came before Committee on 22 October 2008, to discuss the repercussions for Ireland following the result of the Referendum on the Lisbon Treaty the economic and social implications facing the country as a result of the rejection of the Treaty. The Irish Minister for European Affairs, Dick Roche, also gave a presentation on the transposition of EU law into Irish law.
