Dutch politics wrestles with job security

Should the Netherlands make its workforce more flexible, or not? The Dutch government has been looking into ways to make it easier for employers in the Netherlands to fire people, but that appeared to be a sensitive issue. A few months ago, the government almost fell due to arguments about it. And in a long awaited report by a special commission of politicians and business people the central of issue of making it easier to fire people is hardly mentioned.
