Press Release: ECHA urges companies to follow guidance and instructions in their data submission

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), which became operational on 1 June 2008, reviewed the quality of the first data submissions under the REACH regulation in mid June 2008. By 13 June 2008, 1427 companies had signed up in REACH-IT and created 7360 pre-registrations. For 2% of these pre-registrations, substance identity information was not provided in line with ECHA guidelines. ECHA therefore urged companies to follow guidance and instructions in their data submission.
