Press Release: Council Conclusions on Uzbekistan. External Relations Council meeting, Luxembourg, 29 April 2008

Council welcomes the progress achieved in Uzbekistan in recent months in the promotion and protection of human rights and the rule of law, notably the abolition of the death penalty, the introduction of habeas corpus and the ratification of the ILO Convention on the Worst Forms of Child Labour.
