Memo: Belgium – Operational Programme 2007-2013: Brussels Capital Region

On 27 November 2007, the European Commission approved an Operational Programme for Brussels for the period 2007-2013. The programme partially covers the Brussels Capital Region in Belgium. This Operational Programme comes under the Regional Competitiveness and Employment objective and has a total budget of some 115 million euros. The financing contributed by the Community by way of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is around 58 million euros, representing about 2.3% of total EU investment in the Brussels Capital Region in the context of the 2007-2013 cohesion policy.
