As a first step towards the harmonisation of food consumption data in Europe, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), in March 2008, launched the Concise European Food Consumption Database on its website. It is the first database compiling food consumption data available in a majority of European countries, to support exposure assessment - a crucial part of the risk assessment process. |
