‘Nimbyism’ blamed for Italy’s woes

Italy’s Nimby syndrome is under attack from left and right. Both main Italian political parties are promising in their election campaigns to tackle the 'not in my backyard' culture that is blamed in large part for the country’s economic decline and lack of infrastructure.
