Iraqi and Iranian students will be able to join Europeans on the Erasmus Mundus postgraduate study programme next year, the Commission announced on Monday. 110 postgraduate grants will go to students from Iraq, Iran and Yemen hoping to study for a Masters in Europe during the 2007-08 academic year. The European Commission has delayed adopting a proposal aimed at cleaning up member states’ patchwork of different rules for copyright levies on blank recording media and digital music file players such as Apple’s iPod. |
