On 15 November 2007, Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs will make an official visit to Turkmenistan. This will be the first ever visit of an EU Energy Commissioner to Turkmenistan. During the visit, Commissioner Piebalgs intends to follow-up and expand discussions launched during the visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov on 5-6 November in Brussels about the strengthening of cooperation in the energy sector. |
