The Single Market at 15 years

In this special issue of Single Market News there is a look back at the progress that has been made in building the EU's Single Market since its launch in 1992.

The four pillars of the Single Market are the free movement of goods, services, people and capital. In all these areas great progress has been achieved.

In this issue the editors look at some of the policy areas which have transformed the business environment in Europe making cross-border trade easier and opening up major new areas of business. Much has also changed for individuals in the EU with easier opportunities for living and working abroad.
