The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) showed only a slight improvement of 0.1 of a point for the EU, while sentiment was reinforced by an increase of 1.0 point in the euro area. For both areas, May 2006 was the sixth consecutive month that showed strengthening economic sentiment. |
