Press Release: European Commission proposes broadening the scope of ETF action

The ETF is an EU agency which supports education and training in countries surrounding the EU.

Broadening the ETF mandate to 'contribute, in the context of EU external relations policies, to the improvement of human resources development, in particular education and training in a lifelong learning perspective, and related labour market-issues' is the European Commission’s proposal for the future role of the ETF. The proposal comes as part of the Commission’s report on the ETF for the period 2002-2005 (COM (2006)832).
