Dorte Schmidt-Brown, a Danish official who worked at Eurostat, the European Union's statistical arm, is to go to court to clear her name. Ms Schmidt-Brown claims she was abandoned by her bosses after drawing attention to alleged financial wrongdoing at the European Commission. The matter has again raised the issue of misuse of EU funds and the way in which staff who raise concerns are treated.
