Date: 24/09/1998 ...following a meeting in New York this week. Petritsch is currently Austria's ambassador in Belgrade. The decision will be formally endorsed by ministers at their meeting in Luxembourg on 5-6 October. Ministers hope that Petritsch will be given greater access in Kosovo than his predecessor Felipe González because he is already based in Belgrade. González was stopped by the Serbian authorities from entering and travelling freely in the province. |
