There are growing concerns in Paris, supported by 12 of the other 24 Member States, that Europe will concede too much ground in the Doha round of trade talks and the French Government called on 13 October 2005 for an emergency meeting of EU Ministers. As a result, EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson is likely to have to cancel a planned trip to Washington. |
