As diplomatic relations between Britain and France deteriorated on 29 October 2002, France formally postponed the Anglo-French Summit due to take place on 3 December 2002. Relations between the two countries have become frosty following a stand-up row between the French President, Jacques Chirac, and the UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, on 25 October 2002 at the European Council in Brussels.
