Head of Fiat seeks more time on emission targets

Sergio Marchionne, President of the Association of European Carmakers, (and the head of Fiat) demanded 15 May 2007 three more years to meet exacting targets to cut greenhouse gas emissions from cars, saying thousands of jobs in Europe could be lost otherwise.
