Press Release: Commissioner Ferrero-Waldner visits Sri Lanka 7-8 March

Preview of a visit of European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, to Sri Lanka on 7 and 8 March 2005. The visit coincided with the European Commission's preparation of a post-Tsunami reconstruction package for the region, worth €350 million. The Commissioner planned to travel to areas affected by the Tsunami and unveil reconstruction plans for Sri Lanka.
