slightly up from the 0.3&percent; growth seen in the second quarter, according to new Eurostat figures. In the first nine months of 1995, EU gross domestic product grew by 2.8&percent; compared with the same period in 1994. The highest third-quarter growth rate was in Italy (2&percent;), followed far behind by Spain (0.5&percent;) and the UK (0.4&percent;).
