Europe lags behind in R&D investments

According to the International R&D Scoreboard 2005 published on 24 October 2005 by the (UK) Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the research and development gap between Europe and the rest of the world is continuing to widen. A separate European R&D analysis due to be released by the European Commission in November 2005 is likely to reach the same conclusions.
