ECB warned over inflation level

A report released in February 2004 by the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) looks back at the tenure of former European Central Bank President, Wim Duisenberg, in order to see what lies ahead. The authors argue that the launch of the ECB just over five years ago, establishing it as a credible, capable bank was no small feat. However, the authors assert that there is a considerable chance that monetary policy is currently running off track
