The validity of the Tobacco Products Directive was confirmed on 10 December 2002 by the European Court of Justice. In its ruling, it confirmed that the harmonisation of the Internal Market is the proper legal basis of the Tobacco Products Directive and that the harmonisation measures in the Directive are proportionate. |
