A Polish report presented in March 2002 to European farm ministers by the Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister says that the European Commission's proposals to integrate farmers in candidate countries into the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) are unfair and will do little to boost farm incomes or help rural restructuring. Poland would like a more generous deal for its farmers than that proposed by the European Commission. |
