On 10 April 2001 the European Commission approved the first part of the €240 million programme of aid for FRY/Serbia during 2001. This first part of the 2001 programme is for €150.8 million and represents a first step away from an emergency programme towards longer-term integration assistance. This new package takes into account the need to bridge the gap this year before the arrival of support from international financial institutions. |
