Press Release: EU Troika meets with new Chinese Foreign Minister

European Commissioner for External Relations and Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, will participate in the EU-China Ministerial Troika on 28 May 2007 in Hamburg together with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana. The meeting with the new Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Yang Jiechi, is expected to cover latest developments in EU-China bilateral relations including the negotiations for the Partnership and Co-operation Agreement, human rights, Taiwan, climate change and international as well as regional affairs including DPRK, Iran, Middle East, Kosovo and East Asia regional co-operation.
