On the 25 August 2016, a statement was released on behalf of the European Union on the death in custody of Ebrima Solo Krummah, a member of Gambian opposition. Because this is the second time in a few months that a member of the opposition has died in custody, the European Union demands the fully respect to the human rights and fundamental freedoms as enshrined in the Gambian Constitution and in the international treaties. |
