Memo: Dot eu: Commissioner Reding pays first visit to managers of Europe’s new internet domain

Information Society and Media Commissioner Viviane Reding visited on 18 September 2006 EURid, the independent consortium managing the '.eu' domain name. Commissioner Reding was accompanied by several Members of the European Parliament. The purpose of the visit was to understand the way the new domain name registration system - that so far has attracted more than two million users - functions. EURid is located in Diegem, Brussels.
