French in Armenia ‘genocide’ row

The lower house of the French parliament (National Assembly) has adopted a bill 12 October 2006 making it a crime to deny that Armenians suffered 'genocide' at the hands of the Turks, infuriating Turkey. The bill still needs approval from the upper house (Senate) and the President.
