Acting under the Merger Regulation, the European Commission on 4 May 2006 cleared the proposed acquisition of sole control of the French company Hyparlo by the French group Carrefour. After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that it would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in any substantial part of it. |
