Preview of a visit of the European Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs to India on the occasion of the 1st EU-India industrial conference on energy, New Delhi, 6 April 2006. The conference was to be followed, on 7 April by the 2nd meeting of the India-EU energy panel. Commissioner Piebalgs and Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde, India’s Minister of Power, were planing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on concrete studies in the fields of eco-design for energy using products, the potential for the use of bio-fuels in India, the renovation of thermal power plants and various coal related issues. |
