The European Commission on 27 March 2006 issued a warning that fakes of the medicine rimonabant were at the time being sold via several websites. Rimonabant had been developed to treat obesity and related risk factors and smoking cessation. The medicine was still under evaluation by the European Medicines Agency (EMEA). |
