Tough action demanded on BSE

German health and agriculture ministers are gathering in Bonn on Saturday 25 November 2000 for crisis talks over the outbreak of BSE, or mad cow disease, in the country. The meeting is taking place amid mounting pressure for Europe-wide action, to stop the spread of the disease, as a growing number of EU countries report cases.
