Press Release: 37 environment and transport projects for candidate countries approved

On 27.10.00, at its third meeting for the year 2000, the ISPA management Committee gave a positive opinion on 37 environment and transport projects in the Central and Eastern European candidate countries (CEEC). This decision concerns 27 environment and 10 transport projects. At the end of the year 2000, the balance between environment and transport projects will be equal. The beneficiary countries will be able to start their implementation as soon as Michel Barnier, European Commissioner for Regional Policy, has formally approved these projects on behalf of the Commission.
