Press Release: Commission acts to ensure full implementation of anti-fraud law

The Commission decided on 13.1.00 to present, on the basis of Article 230 of the Treaty, an action to the European Court of Justice concerning the European Central Bank and to empower Michele Schreyer, Commissioner for fraud prevention, in agreement with Commission President Romano Prodi and Pedro Solbes, Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, to do the same with regard to the European Investment Bank.
